A few laps at the pool, a beach weekend or a holiday you’ve been looking forward to: start with how you plan to wear your swimwear. Then compare the fit, coverage and product details rather than choosing from a photo alone.
Check the Size Chart for Each Product
A familiar size label is only a starting point. Follow the measurement instructions on the individual listing and compare the chart with your measurements. Check whether it describes body or garment measurements, and read any fit guidance before choosing.
For sets, check whether the top and bottom come in one size or can be selected separately. Confirm what is included: a pictured cover-up, sarong or accessory may not be part of the purchase.
Choose Coverage and Details You Prefer
Think about the cut and the features that help you feel comfortable. Look for the listing’s details on straps, fastenings, lining, padding and adjustability. Do not assume support or adjustability from the photograph alone.
Read the Fabric Claims Carefully
Check the stated composition and care instructions. Chlorine resistance, quick-drying performance, recycled materials and UV protection are product-specific features, not something to assume across an entire range. Look for explicit information on the individual item, including any stated rating and limitations where relevant.
Ordinary swimwear should not be treated as specialist protective equipment. If your activity needs purpose-designed gear, check its documented intended use and limitations rather than relying on a product name or appearance.
Plan for Care After the Swim
Read the manufacturer’s washing and drying directions before ordering and follow them after use. Consider whether those requirements fit your routine. Avoid assuming a garment can be machine washed, tumble dried or exposed to particular pool conditions unless its care guidance allows it.
