Christmas Trees & Decorating Guide 2026 Australia | Nordic

Miniature decorated and bottle-brush Christmas trees on a timber table and shelves, with Nordic Australia Collections branding.

Make Room for Your Kind of Christmas

A tree beside the sofa, a festive table or a few decorations in an apartment can each bring a little Christmas feeling home. Start with the space and traditions you enjoy, then choose pieces that fit your plans for Christmas 2026.

Choose Your Tree: Measure Height and Width

Measure the available floor space and ceiling height, allowing room for a topper and the full assembled tree. Check whether the stated height includes the stand. Compare assembled diameter as well as height, leaving doors and walking routes clear.

Compare Shape, Branches and Finish

A slim outline and a fuller tree create different effects. Read materials, branch construction and assembly instructions, and check whether shaping is needed after unpacking. Look at close-up images alongside styled photographs; a tip count alone does not tell you everything about the finished appearance.

Pre-Lit or Decorate Your Own?

For pre-lit trees, check included lights, colours, operating modes, power requirements and replacement information where provided. Confirm the intended indoor or outdoor use of the tree and electrical components. Follow manufacturer instructions rather than treating a styled photograph as an installation guide.

Check whether ornaments, a topper, a skirt and a storage bag are included. Plan where the tree will be stored after the season and follow packing and care instructions.

Bring the Decorating Together

Start with decorations you already own and choose a few complementary colours or textures. Check hanging requirements and pack quantities. For table settings, compare dimensions with your table and confirm whether listings show individual items or sets.
